Help & FAQs
Quick answers on buying, claims, renewals and your account.
Buying a policy
Do I need a medical test to buy insurance?
Health plans usually skip tests below age 45 with no declared illness. Term life plans above ₹1 crore cover often need a tele-medical or home test.
How soon is my policy issued?
Most motor, travel and health policies are issued instantly after payment. Plans needing underwriting take 2–5 working days.
Which payment methods are accepted?
UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and EMI on select cards. Every payment goes directly to the insurer.
Claims
How do I file a claim?
Use the claims page, the app or call our claim desk. You will receive a claim ID instantly to track progress.
How long does settlement take?
Cashless health approvals take about two hours; reimbursements average seven working days once documents are complete.
Who helps me if a claim is rejected?
Our claim desk reviews the decision with the insurer and guides you on an appeal or the insurance ombudsman route.
Renewals
Will I get a renewal reminder?
Yes. We send reminders by SMS, email and WhatsApp 30, 15 and 3 days before expiry.
What happens if my policy lapses?
Motor policies may need an inspection and lose NCB after 90 days. Health policies may lose waiting-period credit.
Can I switch insurer at renewal?
Yes. Health plans are portable and motor NCB transfers to the new insurer with your previous policy details.
Account & data
Is my personal data safe?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and shared only with the insurer you choose. We never sell your data.
How do I download my policy?
Log in and open My Policies, or find the PDF in the confirmation email sent at purchase.
Can I update my nominee or address?
Yes. Raise a request from your account or the contact page and the insurer endorses the change.
